Membership fees paid to the Canadian Expat Association directly contribute to our ability to advocate on behalf of Canadian Expats located around the world.  Considerable time and energy is spent speaking with members of the Canadian Parliament and Members of the oppostition to promote the interests of Canadian Expats.  Fees also help with keeping our website up to date with new and relevant information.

For the Month of January 2010 however, the Canadian Expat Association will be donating 50% of all paid fees for individual memberships to  Médecins Sans Frontières  (Doctors Without Borders).  This means that $14.50 your annual membership fee of $29.00 will go directly to the organization.

Since 1991, Canadians have taken on more than 1800 field assignments with MSF in over 80 countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia, Cambodia, Colombia, Liberia, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and many others. MSF field projects respond to public health emergencies caused by armed conflict, epidemics, food insecurity, and environmental crises.

“This is a natural partnership as Canadians that particiapate in these assignments are in fact Canadian Expats.” Says Allan Nichols, President of the Association.
