Diplomatic Appointments
Foreign Affairs, today announced two new diplomatic appointments. Guyana and Dubai both have new Canadian representation arriving soon:
Co-operative Republic of Guyana ~ François Montour
Mr. Montour becomes High Commissioner to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, with concurrent accreditation as Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname. Francois has a strong background in humanitarian issues as he has been working for CIDA since 1989. His new role as High Commissioner will have its own challenges but certainly none that he won’t be able to handle.
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) ~ Kris Panday
Mr. Panday becomes Consul General to Dubai. Kris has been with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada since 1986 and has been posted to Port of Spain, Singapore, Seoul and Washington, D.C. He will be the first consul general of Canada to serve in Dubai.
