Valérie Bolduc, Director, Community Development & Advocacy
Valérie has been an advocate for Canadian families affected by the new Citizenship Act since early 2009.
Her work was instrumental in the recent publication of a Parliamentary report recommending the government to amend the Citizenship Act so that it is in line with the realities of Canadian families who experienced expatriation at some point in their lives, and of families who adopted internationally.
Valérie first experienced expatriation at the ripe old age of five months old. Her father worked for the Canadian government and for a UN organization. As such, she has lived in and traveled to South America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Valérie’s family was formed through international adoption. She and her husband are proud parents to their daughter born in Southern China.
