Just starting on his second expat assignment, Jean is a Business Line Manager with a world leading provider of industrial solutions. A mechanical engineering graduate (B.Sc) from the University of New Brunswick, he began his working career in Montreal in the industrial machinery sector in 1999. Shortly after joining his current employer's Canadian operations, he was presented with an opportunity in 2007 to embark on an expat adventure in Belgium and never looked back. The family that crossed the ocean grew slightly larger (a wife and now two young boys), and a new opportunity was presented to cross yet another body of water, this time the Mediterranean, to Algeria.

Motivated by what Jean considers to be a lack of good information for expats, he sought for ways to share his experiences. Jean jumped at the opportunity when he saw the CEA advertising a new Regional Contact program. This will be an opportunity to get his wife and sons involved more personally with this expat assignment, and in turn a great way for his family to get involved with the local Canadian expat community, as well as the local Algerian community.
