Allan Nichols
Marketing and OutreachMr. Nichols is primarily responsible for outreach to the membership and the overall strategic direction of the Canadian Expat.
Living in Japan for close to 10 years, Mr. Nichols represented Canadian and other international destination tourism products to both wholesale and retail travel agencies throughout Japan. As an expat, he relied heavily on the personal networks he formed between other Canadians, Canadian business councils, Chambers of Commerce and the Canadian Embassies and Consulates that are located around the world.
Mr. Nichols operates out of Victoria British Columbia where he currently lives with his wife and two children, both of whom were born in Japan. Fluent in both English and Japanese, Allan has written extensively about the expat community, has appeared on national TV and Radio, met with Canadian political leaders from all parties and has appeared before House of Commons Standing Committees addressing the needs of the Canadian Expat.
Ivan Ross Vrána
Executive DirectorMr. Vrána joined the Canadian Expat as its Executive Director in 2011. He is primarily responsible for advocacy and government relations. With the President, he contributes to the day-to-day management of the Canadian Expat.
Prior to joining the Canadian Expat, Mr. Vrána worked in the federal government as a senior policy and planning expert for different departments and agencies. He also spent two years at Canada’s Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies as the Director of Government Affairs. Mr. Vrána is located in Ottawa.
Drew Pelletier
Policy AnalystMr. Pelletier is responsible for policy and country analysis in support of the Canadian Expat. He is also responsible for assisting the executive team in various initiatives.
